Kayla is a junior History and Women's and Gender Studies double major at TCNJ. She is also an active member of WILL (Women in Learning and Leadership). Kayla is very excited to be President of such an inspirational organization that helps students in need. Although she is not an education major, her passion for urban education is apparent in her drive to keep us affiliated with various outside organizations. Kayla also likes piña coladas and getting caught in the rain.

Her favorite thing about DREAMS is being able to engage with the community and getting the chance to hang out with club members who share her passions of making an impact. She is also a CAPS (Counseling and Psychological Services) Peer Educator and loves to spread awareness about mental health.

Dr. Dell'Angelo is the faculty advisor for DREAMS in addition to being an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Urban Education Master's Program at TCNJ. She received her Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania in Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Development. She teaches classes in Child and Adolescent Development, Urban Education, Cultural Foundations, and Teacher Research. Her research interests include social justice in the classroom, cultural identity development, teacher research, and improvisational acting/theater of the oppressed. She is interested in using improvisational acting techniques to support teacher development. And, she is a licensed Yoga4Classrooms instructor and uses yoga with children to help support self-regulation and learning readiness
